Mountain Walking day events include walks of the Lake District, Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and Northern Pennines

Mountain Walking also provide tours of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, in which we’ll be summiting the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough

All walks can be physically demanding, so a good level of fitness is required

What We Provide

Mountain Walking delivers customized day walks designed for those eager to experience the mountains and valleys for the first time and experienced alike

Fully qualified, insured Mountain Leaders who all have outdoor first aid certificate and insurance

Planned routes taking your goals and objectives as part of the planning. Alternatives should the weather not be good or other safety related factor

A leader ratio of 1:10, any more than 1:10 two Leaders will be present

Safety equipment for the whole group, including first aid and group shelters

Note: We do not provide, transport, food / water and equipment

To deliver the optimum service we organize walks into three levels:

High Fells And Peaks

Typical of “High Fells and Peaks” day
Distance: Between 10 and 25 km
Time: 4 to 8 hours
Terrain: Summits over 750 m, rocky, with steep walking sections
Tracks: Generally, on path but often go off-path for adventure

£40 pp – minimum £120

Exploring The Fells

Typical of “Exploring The Fells” day
Distance: Between 8 and 15 km
Time: 4 to 6 hours
Terrain: Typically, below 750 m.
Less strenuous
Tracks: Generally, on good paths

The Valleys And The Lakes

Typical of “Valleys an the Lakes” day
Distance: Between 8 and 15 km
Time: 4 to 6 hours
Terrain: Stay below 500m.

These walks can be accomplished in almost any weather
Tracks: Stay of good paths / bridleways
